Charles Solomon is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Greenlee Security Services, a full service provider of armed and unarmed security professionals that protect life and property. In 2007, after 20 years of combined law enforcement and executive security management experience, Charles started Greenlee Security Services (G.S.S.). His mission was to provide his clients with the very best in security for their investment. He continues that mission today with clarity of purpose.
He mirrors this commitment to civic duty and safety with an altruistic spirit for his community. Born and raised in Camden, NJ, Charles is actively committed to and participates with the American Heart Association, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Organization, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of South Jersey (JDRF), and the Boys and Girls Club of America. He serves as a mentor where he coaches basketball for youth in the local community. He also served as a member of REVIVE South Jersey, a faith-based mentoring program for young people. In 2013, Charles was a recipient for the Anointed News Journal prestigious award, “Circle of Winners”.
His civic involvement also extends internationally. In 2013, Charles was awarded the Humanitarian Award by the United Way of Union County and the Hope Award by the New Jersey State Assembly for his efforts towards the rebuilding and recovery of Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Charles continues to work closely with the people of Haiti in the long-term reconstruction efforts, strategically partnering with local organizations for economic turnaround, regrowth, and rebuilding.
Charles sees the bigger picture when it comes to public safety and security understanding that the opportunity for education can break the cycles of violence and crime on multiple levels. He brings that vision into the next generation as an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University, teaching courses in the Department of Law and Justice. A member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Charles holds a BA from Howard University and a Master in Public Administration from Seton Hall University.
Charles served as an Investigator for the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office where he gathered intelligence on organized crime and gang related activities. His work resulted in closing several high profile cases. Later, Charles worked with former United States Congressman Robert E. Andrews, a well-respected member of the U.S. House of Representatives, as his Congressional Aide. In this capacity, Charles became personally acquainted with logistics, technology, operations and how to provide protection at a very strategic level. All of this experience combined is what led Charles to the advanced training and knowledge to provide the very best quality of safety, protection, and care that Greenlee Security was founded upon and continues to deliver today. In 2015, Charles completed the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses program, which allowed him to identify and grow the international component of Greenlee.
